Resource to Help With Staying Socially Connected
According to the National Poll on Healthy Aging, in 2024, 33% of older adults age 50-80 reported feelings of loneliness some of the time or often, while 29% reported feeling isolated some of the time or often. Share the Friendship Line resource as an option to help people stay socially connected.
The Friendship Line is a free telephone crisis and warm line focused on people with disabilities and those age 60 years and older. Volunteers are available to talk 24 hours every day of the year at 800-971-0016.
