Accessible Pharmacy Services for the Blind is a comprehensive, home delivery pharmacy service specializing in the needs of people who are blind, DeafBlind, and have low vision. They are the only provider of their kind and the largest blind-owned healthcare company in the country.

They provide free accessible support, home delivery, accessible packaging and accessible labeling, including braille & various technologies, and help patients manage their medication and diabetes.

In addition to medication and diabetes management solutions, Accessible Pharmacy supports patients in 32 states and 25% of its employees are blind.

In 2021, Accessible Pharmacy was awarded, by the federal government, the FCC Chair’s Advancement in Accessibility Award. Accessible Pharmacy has been featured in the New York Times, in ophthalmology journals, and on network news.

Dr. Alex Cohen is the co-founder and Chief Marketing and Accessibility Officer for Accessible Pharmacy Services for the Blind. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Marketing Department at West Chester University, where his research focuses on marketing to the disabled community with the goal of creating a more inclusive marketplace. Alex was diagnosed with a degenerative retinal disease known as Retinitis Pigmentosa in his late teens which robbed him of his vision. Alex will share his journey and Accessible Pharmacy’s amazing story.
