Managing Remote Services, Sylvia Stinson-Perez and Kendra Farrow

This brainstorm session provided the space for program managers to reflect and discuss possible program modifications and adjustments for programs during remote work. This session started with a live introduction followed by breakout rooms in small groups. Here is the list of discussion questions that guided the conversation in breakout rooms.

The groups were brought together for a discussion with all program managers.

Kendra Farrow

Kendra Farrow

Kendra Farrow is a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University with over 14 years of experience providing itinerant VRT services.  In 2014, she joined the team at the National Research and Training Center at Mississippi State University. In her role as Research and Training Associate Kendra leads workshops and training sessions provided by the center, conducts two program evaluations, assists with knowledge translation activities, and directs course development for the Older Blind Technical Assistance and Training Center.

Sylvia Stinson-Perez

Sylvia Perez

Sylvia Stinson-Perez is the Director of the Older Individuals who are Blind Technical Assistance Center (OIB-TAC) and the Vision Specialist graduate certificate program at the National Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision at Mississippi State University. She has over 20 years in the field of blindness. Prior to joining the NRTC in 2019, she was the Executive Director/CEO of the Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind in New Port Richey, Florida, from 2008 to 2018.

Sylvia earned Master’s degrees in Social Work and Visual Disabilities Rehabilitation from Florida State University, and in Business Administration from Saint Leo University. She is a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist through ACVREP.
