My Heart Is Not Blind: Voices of Older Blind, Michael Nye on August 31, 2020

For the last seven years, Michael has been listening to men and women who are blind and visually impaired. Each photographic portrait is accompanied by an intimate story told by the subject concerning his or her experiences and unique perspective.

Managing Remote Services, Sylvia Stinson-Perez and Kendra Farrow on August 31, 2020

This brainstorm session provided the space for program managers to reflect and discuss possible program modifications and adjustments for programs during remote work. This session started with a live introduction followed by breakout rooms in small groups.

Finding and Training Professionals: Connecting to University Personnel Preparation Programs on September 1, 2020

September 1 - 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm

This session featured six of the university programs providing personnel preparation for professionals in the field. Universities briefly explained the programs offered (O&M, VRT, etc.), length of programs, and if long-term training grants are funded by RSA to support students.

Glimpses of State Projects: Peer to Peer on September 3, 2020

September 3 - 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm

This session featured five OIB program managers sharing about a great program in their state OIB program. The pre-recorded 5-minute summaries of each program was presented, followed by Q&A.
