Disability Voting Rights Week: Resources for Individuals with Blindness and Low Vision

Last week (September 11-15) was Disability Voting Rights Week. While some voting options vary by state, federal law requires polling stations to provide the secure, private, and independent casting of ballots for voters with disabilities. The United States Election Assistance Commission has several resources linked here for voting accessibility, including information to help voters understand their rights related to accessible voting. Additionally, consumer organizations have published voting toolkits and resource guides for individuals with blindness or low vision.
