Summary

This webinar will describe and highlight the Department of Veterans Affairs Blind Rehabilitation Service National Continuum of Care. It will provide detailed information on the scope and breadth of available services available for eligible Veterans and Active Duty Service members who may benefit from this system of care.  Specific information on services and rehabilitation training will be discussed, and information on how to contact the Department of Veterans Affairs Blind Rehabilitation Service and VA medical facilities will be provided.

The speakers on this webinar will include Dr. Michael Williams, Ph.D., CLVT,  National Data Analyst and Rehabilitation Planning Specialist, and Mr. Esteban Zuniga, COMS, CLVT, CVRT, National Program Consultant, Southwest region, both with the VA Blind Rehabilitation Service National Program Office.

Bio

Michael Williams, Ph.D. is the National Data Analyst and Rehabilitation Planning Specialist with the VA Blind Rehabilitation Service National Program Office in Washington DC and holds an appointment as a Research Scientist at the Atlanta VA Medical Center's Rehabilitation Research and Development Center of Excellence. Previous appointments include Adjunct Faculty with Georgia State University Gerontology Institute; Research Scientist with Georgia Institute of Technology Center for Assistive Technology & Environmental Access; and Assistant Professor with Georgia Institute of Technology School of History, Technology & Society.
